Badenoch and Strathspey

This area includes the Cairngorms National Park which boasts "the largest area of Arctic Mountain Landscape in the UK". Amongst many other species, Golden Eagles, Ospreys, Ptarmigan and Red Deer can be seen on its wild and un spoilt mountains. Cairn Gorm itself boasts Britain's highest Funicular Railway which will bring you effortlessly up the slopes of Britain's sixth highest mountain for the skiing in winter or the walking and site seeing in the summer.

Aviemore lies at the centre of this region, and is the ideal base for those looking for and active holiday - whether it be skiing, climbing, mountain biking, water sports or a host of other activities.
